In line with the MORE agenda of the Delta state governor Sheriff Oborevwori, chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council of the state, Hon. Prince (Elder) Godwin Ogorugba, Wednesday, distributed free notebooks to pupils in all primary schools in the council area.
The free distribution of notebooks by the council chairman who was represented by the Supervisor councillor for Agriculture and Community Development, Thomas Akpoedafe, saw the pupils dancing, jubilating and prayers for the chairman with singing of praises of him for remembering them at this hard times of President Bola Tinubu APC led administration.
According to Ogorugba, the gesture was born out of his administration’s commitment to cushion the economic hardship on parents even as his administration was looking towards ways to make life easy for his people especially the children, youths and the aged people of the local government.
The council boss, however harped on the importance of education as the bedrock of the nation’s future and vowed that his administration will not disappoint the confidence reposed in him by the people.
High points of the event were the highly elated pupils and teachers whose excitement knew no bound, chanted songs of “God Bless Chairman Ogorugba, God Bless Governor Oborevwori”, sang praises and prayers for both the chairman and the state governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.
