Two commissioners yet to be appointed by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta state will be appointed soon, and this authoritative. The ministries which are still vacant are ministries of information and justice.
Chief press secretary to the governor, Festus Ahon, weekend made the disclosure while reacting to a report in a national newspaper.
The report claimed that the non appointment of information commissioner and attorney general and commissioner of justice was allegedly due to cold war between Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor.
Ahon, in his reaction, said there was no iota of truth in the report. He said that report was the figment of the writer’s imagination.
According to Ahon: “While Governor Oborevwori holds his predecessor, Senator Okowa and other leaders in high esteem, reports of imaginary disagreements over appointments of two commissioners are untrue.’
The chief press secretary added that the governor would appoint the two remaining commissioners at the appropriate time which the governor deems fit.
He told reporters to seek information from him and other media managers about issues concerning the governance of the state before rushing to the press.
“The report in itself woefully fell short of journalism ethics as no attempt was made by the reporter to seek clarification on the alleged cold war between both leaders.
