The immediate past governor of Delta state, Senator Dr.Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa says he holds no animosity against any political leader or stakeholder whether in Delta North Senatorial District or the state.

Dr Okowa made the clarification on Saturday while speaking at the Delta North Senatorial meeting of the All Progressives Congress ,APC held at Obiaruku, headquarters of Ukwuani local government area.

According to Okowa who was responding to a speech at the meeting by Delta North APC stalwart ,Chief Emmanuel Eboh, calling for peace and unity among four prominent Anioma political leaders -the former governor , Senator Ned Nwoko, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi and deputy governor Chief Monday Onyeme, said his “heart is open to work with people.”

Okowa said he has always promoted cohesion and togetherness in his political engagements.

“I am for peace. I bear no grudge against anyone. My commitment is on political harmony among all the leaders”

Addressing the gathering, Dr Okowa urged the various stakeholders in Delta North to mobilize the people for voter registration towards the success of the APC in the 2027 general elections.

“We must move forward. Registration of voters is important for the progress of our party. No doubt we have leaders at the top in Delta North. But I believe the other leaders are in the Ward and local government areas. They must mobilize the people to register for voting. We will achieve a lot with grassroots support.

“My determination is to strengthen and grow our party APC to excel in our democracy. We must put the development of the party first above personal political ambition or interests.

“I appreciate the people of Ukwuani for hosting this important meeting. We must all work together for the common good of our people. Let us all help to build APC at the state and national levels” -Okowa said

The Delta North APC meeting was attended by thousands of party stakeholders including the state deputy governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, state APC chairman, Elder Omenie Sobotie, Delta North party chairman, Ogbueishi Adizue Eluaka, as well as leaders and members of the party from the nine local government areas of Delta North.

The meeting unanimously resolved to support President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori ahead of 2027.
