The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, unveiled some major dates for its activities in 2023 at the end of its management meeting.
The board has approved the start of registration for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from Saturday, January 14th to Tuesday, February 14th, 2023.
This does not include registration for Direct Entry (DE) application documents, which will be available from Monday, February 20th to Thursday, April 20th, 2022.
JAMB also set Thursday, March 16, 2023, as the date for its optional mock UTME.
Candidates should be aware that they will be required to pay a N1000 service charge for CBT centres to conduct mock examinations at the time of registration in order to avoid a situation in which candidates express an interest in sitting the mock-UTME, causing the various centres to commit human and material resources only for them to fail on the day of the examination.
Candidates indicate their interest in the new arrangement by paying for the mock at the time of UTME registration, preventing the centers from incurring any loss whether candidates show up or not.
