An Abuja Federal High Court, today dismissed the suit seeking the disqualification of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo as the governor-elect of Anambra State.
According to Daily Post, Justice Taiwo Oladipupo Taiwo, who described the suit as frivolous, and lacking in merit, awarded a punitive cost of N2 million against the two plaintiffs to be paid to Soludo and his deputy, Ibezim.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission Commission (INEC) headquarters, on Wednesday declared Soludo, winner of the election.
However, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Andy Uba, promised to contest the result in the court of law.
