The government of Enugu has banned Tricycle (Keke), Motorcycle (Okada) and Tipper Trucks in some areas in the state.
It would be recalled that on Wednesday, people were killed during the state council election with several others injured and property worth millions of naira destroyed by thugs.
Concerned by the recent development, Mr Ugwuanyi decided to summon an emergency security meeting with critical stakeholders from the five local government areas; Nkanu West, Nkanu East, Enugu South, Enugu North and Enugu East to find a lasting solution to the increasing violent attacks killings in the state.
Well, the outcome of the meeting has been revealed in a statement signed by Prof Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, the secretary to the state government.
According to the state government, Tricycle (Keke), Motorcycle (Okada) and Tipper truck in the areas in the state;
1. All communities in Nkanu East local government area
2. All communities in Nkanu west local government area and
3. The following communities/neighbourhood in Enugu South Local government area;
