Delay being experienced by spinsters has subjected many of them to foolishly running after every Tom, Dick and Harry just to have husbands.
The worst is that even boys who lead reckless life in the society now have become gold mines in the sights of responsible ladies who were not supposed to come close to them in the first place.
A lady, Miss Sandra Ukanwa has been receiving threat calls from the management of a popular petrol station in Asaba, Delta state as a result of a large debt her boyfriend, Mr. Louis Gabriel, accumulated in the company.
The lady whose tears were streaming down her cheeks in a chat with Emerald News said, she totally regretted signing a suretee for her boyfriend to work in a filling station.
According to Miss Ukanwa, her Calabar boyfriend who promised to marry her just worked in the petrol station for only six months and ran away with an accumulated debt of about hundred thousand (N100.000) naira of the filling station.
The girl said that she met the boy about seven months ago in her church where he showed interest to marry her.
Miss Ukanwa added that the boy after meeting her shortly got a job with a big filling station and pleaded with her to sign a suretee for him.
According to her, her friends in the church warned her not to stand as a suretee for him since she just met him newly but she turned a deaf ear to their warnings.
She lamented that the management of the filling station was on her neck to off-set her boyfriend’s debt or she will be locked up in a police cell.
She stated that since two weeks the boy absconded, she has not been able to reach him on his phone as his phone was switched off.
