Reports coming from Simon Lalong, governor of Plateau state says “Pope has not let him know he is off-base”

Commenting on the opinions of Pope Francis on Catholicism, Level’s Vice-President, Simon Lalong, argued on Wednesday that if he were not a Catholic with the most elevated spiritual designation, the Pope should have warned him.

Since the emergence of Bola Tinubu as the official challenger, the Lagos incumbent pick previous Borno Governor, Kashim Shettima as his running mate.

It’s raised some controversy among Christian organizations in Nigeria, such as the Christian Relationship of Nigeria (CAN), who don’t accept the Muslim ticket.

Irrespective of his efforts to cover up his decision to choose Shettima as his running mate, the pundits remain skeptical of his staunch ideals and intentions.

Despite all this, Lead representative Lalong insisted that there was a possibility of the Muslim ticket, after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja.

In the middle of an up and down dialogue, Lalong was convinced by Muhammad, Lalong will maintain his Catholic identity in spite of being forced to abandon his previous endeavors for a religious event.

Mr. Lalong has often stated his unwavering belief in Christianity.

That being said, he was elected to be the lead representative for all faiths and those who do not worship.

The chief explained that since he doesn’t know where the christians that he plans to obliterate are from, he’s not sure about how to do it.

He said that on his visit to Jos, after his appointment as Chairman of the Election Planning Committee (EPC), the APC set up a committee for the Islamic Republic of Nigeria, state head of the Christian Relation of Nigeria (CAN), which invited him.

Halgird Lalong also took the opportunity to publicly thank the President for exculpating Joshua Dariye and Carefree Nyame, two high profile men who were imprisoned for four months for unknown reasons and now released with a personal presidential pardon.

Furthermore, the President has supported a few ventures from Level State, so Lalong has requested them.

In regards to the support of these ventures, Lalong explains that When we go into any territory, they would be met with enthusiasm; they would hear a clear message. As per last year, before we went to Kano State, the president gave us 10 million naira as support.

And there is now no other resource like the presidency.
