Leading governorship candidate on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and former minister of state for education, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, has urged Deltans to lay hold on their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2023 general elections as it is their ticket for a better Delta state.
Gbagi gave the charge on Sunday August 14th 2022, at God’s Will Mission during the 2022 Festival of Greatness, tagged: “Greater Glory”.
He tasked the congregation not to bother themselves about whatever blackmail in the public domain, saying it is what happens during politics.
“Don’t worry, make sure you get your PVCs, this party that I have joined is the party that Olorogun Felix Ibru won the election and was adjudged as one of the freest election in Delta and the country”, stressing that Delta state is turning around for good.
According to him, the cry and prayers of Deltans who are poor, have gone to God and God is ready to deliver the state come 2023.
“Never mind what they say. In politics, it happens all the time. When I made Okowa governor, there was no stripping of women naked and there was no rumour that I don’t pay salaries but now that it is politics, you hear them.
“Delta state has no business for anybody who is a Deltan to be poor, it is wickedness but by the grace of God in 2023, God will liberate us.
“It is better to speak the truth. I will die speaking the truth. They say I am not controllable but Archbishop Solomon Gbakara controls me because he has good intentions. If they want to control me, they should develop Delta. If they develop Delta, they have controlled me”, he added.
He expressed joy for attending the church service, saying “Today, for me, is a very joyful day when I wanted to start the journey for governor in Delta state, I invited Archbishop Solomon Gbakara and two other men of God. Since that day till date, it has been from miracle to miracle” he declared.
