Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Thursday January 19, 2023 visited Isoko North local government area of Delta state.
First stop was a meeting with the pastors from the local government area. The gathering included members of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria ( PFN), CAN, Winners among others.
Speaking to the clerics, Gbagi said: “There’s a grave danger ahead of us because we are being deceived. If you follow my campaign, you will see that I’ve been going to churches. That is because I believe that is where the problem lies.
“They have made us to believe that the church is not supposed to be involved in politics, whereas everything we do in life has a political element to it.
“The church has become poorer today because of what we brought upon ourselves as a people”.
The entrepreneurial guru shared his ideas on creating mass employment and state revenue from the Isoko North LGA.
He said: “I strongly believe that Isoko North can become the food basket of the nation. This is because Isoko North is located in a low water bed that can be used to grow the best rice, feed Deltans and also export to neighboring states and even outside the country.
“I want to partner with the church because it is easier to work with the church to industrialize the state”.
The meeting was capped with a prayer session for the success of the electoral process to make Gbagi governor of Delta state.
