A civil servant in Delta state, Mr. Godfrey Chika has run away from his house, leaving his wife and four children behind.
An eye witness told Emerald News that Mr. Chika ran away from his marriage of eleven years, claiming that his wife wanted to kill him and take his house which is still under construction.
Our source said that he complained that his wife sprinkled a poisonous substance in his food to kill him, adding that God saved him from death.
This medium gathered that the man also accused his wife of having extra marital affairs.
According to our source, the civil servant last week, picked his foam and clothes and packed to a new rented apartment for only himself while leaving his family in his former apartment.
The eye witness said that when the family and friends of the man tried to reconcile him and his nuclear family, he vehemently refused and vowed that over his dead body would he marry his wife again.
When his wife was contacted by family and friends to hear her own side of story, she said that her husband was running away from his responsibility as a father.
Our source added that the man’s wife regretted marrying her husband, adding that their children were yet to resume school as a result of lack of money.
This medium gathered that the man’s wife complained that her husband rented a new apartment for himself while their four children loiter around the street during school hours because there was no money to enroll them in the school.
Our source said that the man’s wife also vowed not to live with her husband again so that she would not die of his constant beating and abuse.
The man’s wife revealed that her husband has severally signed undertaking letters not to panel beat her but he never stopped beating and abusing her and their children.
This medium gathered that the man and his wife were in a large debt which it seems the man wanted to exonerate himself from as it was his wife who is also a civil servant that borrowed the loans from her cooperative society.
