Mr. Jeremiah Nigi, a professional tailor has bemoaned the increasing number of prostitutes commonly known as commercial sex workers in Asaba the capital city of Delta state.
Nigi lamented in a chat with Emerald News that the rate at which young girls resort to prostitution rather than engaging in meaningful business for themselves should be quickly addressed or it turns to a colossal damage to upcoming generation.
He said that it was a pity that parents do not care to know the source of income of their children, adding that parents and guardians should own up to their responsibilities on their children and wards so that the menace of call girls would be reduced to the nearest minimum.
” I urged the commercial sex workers to shun laziness and grab better opportunity such as learning tailoring work, that will give then better future”.
The tailor advised the girls that are into prostitution to shun such ungodly living and embrace any handwork that will give them good future.
He called on brothel owners where most of these commercial sex workers live to do themselves good to convert those homes to factories where things are manufactured to employ the girls to undertake good ventures.
Nigi attributed the menace to high value of riches rather than dignity in our society.
He also called on the commercial sex workers in Asaba and its’ environs to repent from such life that is capable of putting them into eternal damnation.
