May Day: Gbagi restates his unblemish conduct, promises to transform fortune of Delta workers if elected governor

Foremost governorship aspirant in Delta state, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, on Friday restated his earlier statement of his stainlessness, saying he has remained the only aspirant without blemish among all who are clamouring for the office of the governor come 2023 in Delta state.

In an exclusive chat, he said: “I told Nigerians that I am blemishless and that anybody who has any fault against me, he or she should say it and let everybody hear it. I’m throwing this challenge to Nigerians and the people of Delta state ”

In a recent visit to the temporary secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta state, Olorogun Gbagi told the body of journalists that all through out his stay as minister of education (state) no one could lay hands on anything against him.

He added: “I was the 42nd minister in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, all other 41 ministers were invited by the anti-graft agency but I was not invited for questioning by either the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC or the Directorate of State Security DSS. I do not support criminality in any form.”

Gbagi, who was bombarded by probing questions from the journalists, explained that he rejected three ministerial appointments because they were driven by money. I have looked at Delta state, I do not see anybody who can present any clean record like me. My plan is to beat the record of Lagos.”

Olorogun Gbagi, who said he has one of the biggest industries in Subsahara Africa, told this reporter that his government will lift up the fortune of Delta people and the workers in all sectors of the state economy. He said he stands by his words in the day and in the night. He said that Delta workers have great days ahead.

He said all the political foes that are blackmailing him using different means are doing so because they know they cannot match his reputation or any other yardstick of comparisons. He said those persons are congregating to put Deltans in darkness.

He told this online medium that if there is any of the aspirants that is more qualified than him using globally acceptable standards, he would quit running for office of the governor in 2023. He called on Deltans never to give heed to the blackmailers as their attempt is to blindfold them and keep them on perpetual darkness.

He said most other aspirants are either pretenders or do not have a plan for the state. He added that most of them are depending on the plan of the sitting government in which they are serving at the moment. He insisted that it’s time for the people of Delta to be wise so that this opportunity of getting an entrepreneurial governor who has an industrial agenda should not be lost to people who are only interested in amassing wealth for themselves.

He said he is already made, saying anybody who is already made and having financial standing cannot steal.

Olorogun Gbagi said all the allegations against his person are politically motivated with the aim of making him abandon the race for them. He said the issue of the naked women is politics against him. He described it as a concentrated plot being carefully executed by people with no plan for the development of Delta state.

He described the campaign by members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) as political plot orchestrated by political foes. For him, the blackmailers have lost the battle. Reports revealed that lawyers in Delta state have dissociated themselves from the outing.

He said one of his former workers, Suzan was reportedly called by blackmailers who were out to dent his image. The aim, according to him, was to extract information from her. But he said she rebuffed them, saying Gbagi never did anything wrong to get while she worked in his establishment. Susan left the establishment for other jobs in the last 15 years.

For Delta workers who will be celebrating workers Day on Saturday, May 1, Gbagi is assuring that greater times are coming..He commended Governor Ifeanyi for the new state Secretariat which is a legacy project for the people of Delta state

He assured Delta workers that if elected governor, there will be glorious opportunity for all. He said workers in the state will have cause to smile as his government will usher in more opportunities for them.
