Having earlier urged its members nationwide to campaign, support and vote all members contesting in the forthcoming general elections, The National Executive Council of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has also extended its support to Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, the Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, and husband to Mrs Regina Daniels-Nwoko, a bona fide member of the AGN.
The Actors Guild of Nigeria, officially met with the senatorial candidate, on Wednesday, 18 January, 2023, at Mount Ned, Idumuje Ugboko. The association, which was led by their national president, Emeka Rollas, came, bearing customized textile materials for Nwoko, to further solidify their support for him.
Emeka Rollas, stated that, though, AGN is apolitical, but individual members have the right to support and campaign for candidates running for various political positions.
Nwoko, the Antarctica explorer, whom has always recognised and acknowledged the role of entertainers as community influencers, expressed profound gratitude for the Actors support, and also acknowledge that entertainment and sports have helped put Nigeria on the global map.
Alongside Emeka Rollas, were, David Akumah, national director of Guild Services AGN, Kevin Uvo, national task force AGN, Steve Eboh, and Babarex Nosa, at the meeting with Nwoko.
