National Sports Festival: Delta leads in gold, Edo leads in silver as Bayelsa crashes low (see daily medals table for 36 states)
Delt state needs to up its Gabe’s if it must retain its first position in the national sports festival.
Edo state is not ready to give up as it is aiming at winning the games against Delta which had retained the first position over the years.
In the present games with the Saturday medals table on display, Delta has 54 gold while Edo has 49 gold. Edo is also heading in silver but equals Delta with bronze medals.
Bayelsa which was second from the start has crashed to third and seems not ready to rise. This is so because the margin between the state and Edo/Delta is very wide.
Other states in the tournament are struggling behind. Some have not won any medal since the games commenced
But Delta must put in more effort as Edo is not ready to take chances
