A man named Soji Bakare has been captured for purportedly defiling a 10-year-old girl at Aiyeyemi road in the Isolo space of Akure, Ondo state.
It was gathered that the man also known as SOJ defiled the girl at her parents’ house. The mother went to a market in the community when he carried out his atrocity.
Speaking about the sad incident, the victim’s mother revealed that Bakare was caught in the act.
While the suspect was handed over to policemen at the A Division Police Station in Akure, the victim was taken to a hospital by the police for medical treatment and examination.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Funmi Odunlami, said the case would be moved to the state Criminal Investigation Department for additional examination.
Once the investigation is over, the suspect would be charged to court as soon.
