No merger can unseat President Tinubu, Nigerians upbeat on economic reforms – Mayor Akpodoro says

The Mayor of Urhobo land and business mogul, Eshanekpe Israel a.k.a Akpodoro, has boasted that no amount of “political conspiracy” in the form of a merger of political associations that can unseat the man he said enjoys the overwhelming mandate of the Nigerian people as given to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on February 25, 2023.

Mayor Akpodoro made this known in a statement he made on the sideline of a meeting of the elders, the leadership of the National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A and other critical stakeholders in Nigeria and Niger Delta project, in Abuja, the federal capital territory.

The meeting, according to the Mayor who is also the founder Urhobo Youth Forum for Change, UYFC, was held to kick-start the process of renewing the second term mandate of President Tinubu who he noted has defied institutional failures of the past administrations to reposition the country’s national economy for which he said, Nigerians are appreciated and would happily and massively vote for the President in 2027.

Akpodoro noted that “it is no more news that the President is generally accepted and loved by Nigerians across divides save for a handful of disgruntled elements within the ranks of the opposition who are jealous and envious of the achievements of the All Progressives Congress, APC led administration of President Tinubu.

He wondered that pundits are at it again as the country’s election year approaches saying no amount of negative predictions and concocted reports of the merger of “strange bed fellows” can remove a string of the political hair of the president, the nation’s leader who has performed beyond his electioneering campaigns.

Describing the president’s policies as that of “national rebirth and revitilisation”, Akpodoro maintained that, it has renewed the hope of Nigerians more than ever before saying the citizens had suffered hopelessly in the past under successive administrations of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP when politicians smiled to the banks at the detriment of the masses.

He was quick to add that the current administration has kept its eyes on the ball in its bid to buy-back the nation from the destruction wrecked by the PDP’s administrations in the past.

“Now, Nigerians are facing temporary economic hardship with hope and not hopelessness. Therefore, Nigerians would rather vote the President for a second term to enable them reap the dividends of genuine democratic efforts being made currently.”

The Mayor noted that, in all fronts the President had shown resilience, capacity, records of success and excellently waging war against those he described as economic monsters adding that he has demonstrated the needed can-do-spirit by tackling multidimensional sleaze in his fight against corruption, defeated insurgency and insecurity.

He said the president has defeated energy crisis, defeated the menace of money changers and speculators just as he has engaged in massive infrastructure developments in the country.

The president, the Gberegolor, Urhobo Delta State-born Mayor noted that the Port Harcourt and the Warri refineries that were revampped by the Tinubu administration is testament that Nigerians have a visionary leader who has proven to be a beacon of hope and accelerated development.

“We were once told that it was impossible to revamp the refineries in the country but such ‘prophets of doom’ have been proven wrong by the president.

“Each time I hear merger, I wonder what they are merging for? Merge for who to vote for them? Nigerians would never vote for any other person in 2027 than the visionary leader that is currently turning the misfortunes of the past to blessings for Nigerians.

“Throughout PDP years in government, Nigerians lived in darkness and paid bills for darkness. Those who sold our national patrimonies without profit are merging against the man that’s busy exiting Nigerians from hopeless poverty. Nobody, not PDP, SDP or NNPP can unseat our president,” the Mayor stated.
