Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has urged Urhobo sons and daughters to close ranks, strengthen ties, and support one another in the collective pursuit of progress for the Urhobo Nation.
The senator made the call during a Meet-and-Greet event he hosted in Abuja during the week, which brought together Urhobo professionals and leaders from diverse fields. According to him, the gathering was designed to promote collaboration, inspire mutual support, and reinforce a shared commitment to the advancement of the Urhobo people.
“During the week, I had the pleasure of hosting another Meet-and-Greet in Abuja, which brought together Urhobo people from diverse fields, with the goal of promoting unity, support, and collaboration among our people,” Dafinone said.
He encouraged participants to look out for one another and ensure no Urhobo is left behind in their journey of personal and professional growth. “I urged everyone present to create opportunities and support their fellow Urhobo brothers and sisters wherever they find themselves. We must pull one another up so that together, we can all advance in our respective fields,” he added.
The senator described the forum as more than a routine networking session, noting that it was deliberately designed to inspire synergy and create a sense of shared purpose. “This is more than just a networking event. It is an opportunity for Urhobo people to connect, share ideas, and reaffirm our collective commitment to the progress and development of our Senatorial District and the Urhobo Nation as a whole,” he said.
Dafinone stressed that unity and cooperation are vital to building a strong and resilient Urhobo identity, particularly in a competitive national space where mutual support often determines long-term success.
He further assured that the Meet-and-Greet series will continue, extending to Urhobos across Nigeria and the diaspora, with the aim of ensuring steady, inclusive, and far-reaching advancement for the community.
Reaffirming his commitment to Delta Central, Dafinone pledged to keep championing Urhobo unity both at home and at the national stage.
