In our today society, injustice, abuse of power, oppression and bad leadership are the order of the day. The least you would expect is seeing such failing act in the society among a noble organization as CDHR, an organization that is founded with the singular hope of fighting against evil devices like oppression, injustice, bad leadership, corruption among other societal ills.
The illegal, unconstitutional and unilateral suspension of the National Vice President of CDHR Comrade (Dr). Prince Kehinde Taiga is a disgraceful move taken by the National President Dr. Osagie Obayuwana, as contained in the suspension letter dated 13th August, 2020. A decision the National President took without the support of the simple majority of NEC as enshrined in the constitution of CDHR.
The National President’s lack of respect for the highest authority of CDHR is something we must all stand up against as concerned members of CDHR Nigeria. We say enough is enough to his executive rascality and disregard to the rule of law.
We want to salute the courage of the the members; General Secretary, Comrade James Chibuzo Chikwendu; Assistant General Secretary, Comrade Kabir Ibrahim; Legal Adviser, Barrister (Mrs.) Violet Ekumankama; Publicity Secretary, Comrade Gerald Katchy and Internal Auditor, Comrade Ayuba Musa) of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of our noble organization CDHR who after the NEC meeting on the 15th of August, 2020 made a signed press statement to disclaim the suspension of the National Vice President, Dr. Prince Kehinde Taiga as announced by the President Dr. Osagie Obayuwana on the 14th of August, 2020.
We therefore call on the Board of Trustees and NEC to investigate the misconduct, abuse of office and disregard to constitutional provision of the National President Dr. Osagie Obayuwana, as no one is above the law.
We the concerned members of CDHR Nigeria wait patiently for the response of the B.O.T and all concerned authority as guided by our constitution on this matter.
I am Comr Ogunyemi Kayode.
On behalf of concerned members of CDHR, Nigeria
