The presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the situation of the naira scarcity across the nation stating that help is coming and they should rather take their anger to the polls.
Obi, in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, said that the naira scarcity has brought untold suffering and harsh economic realities to the people but that for the sake of the country, the Nigerian people should take their anger to the polls and vote for the right candidate.
I plead with Nigerians to be patient; help is coming. The suffering and harsh economic realities have brought untold anger to the people. May we, for the sake of our nation, take such anger to the polls on February 25. That is the only way to end the present suffering.
This is what he said in response to the reported pockets of skirmishes in Benin City and other places arising from the recent scarcity of cash.
