Ijaw Youths from the Nine States of the Niger Delta region, have commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme Col. Milland Dixion-Dikio (rtd) over the appointment of Comrade Alfred Kemepado as Head of Re-Integration of the Programme.
The Youths under the aggies of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, said the appointment of Comrade Alfred Kemepado is commendable, well deserved and acceptable by all.
The National Spokesman of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC), Comrade Ebilade Ekerefe in a statement issued in Yenagoa, said Alfred Kemepado is a square peg in a square hole, considering the competence and capacity he possess to manage the exulted office.
The body described the former Scribe of the Ijaw Youths Council as a tested and trusted leader in the foremost group of IYC Worldwide, who has continued to make the Niger Delta region proud.
Comr. Ebilade Ekerefe reiterated that the appointment is coming on the heels of renewed forms of agitations in the region and the country at large, stating that with Alfred Kemepado on the saddle of Reintegration of the PAP, tension will be doused to a reasonable extent.
Ekerefe admonished Comrade Alfred Kemepado to work assiduously with the relevant stakeholders of the presidential amnesty program with a view to repositioning the program back to its original master plan, assuring him of undiluted support and the cooperation of the Ijaw Youths Council to deliver on his mandate.
