Pastor( Dr) Richmond Leigh was not only a successful, German trained medical surgeon, he was also a real man of God, and a pastor.
Pastor Leigh Father’s House Bible Church in Warri is the only place I have ever felt comfortable, peaceful, and happy. Because in Father’s House it is not about some fake prosperity gospel on how to milk you of your hard earned money . It is never about fake holiness of a pastor seeing himself as a demi God or a saint. Father’s House is a place where you have that real connection to God through praise and worship. I am not talking of senseless, and stupid praises of Satan Don fall for gutter, match match am; I am not talking of fear driven praise of anything wen dem dig for you, jump am pass; I am not talking of praises that makes God looks like a monster and a terrorist. I am talking of praises that only exult God in his Majesty and Glory.
Never have I heard Dr. Leigh blackmailing members to coughed out money for God so that God can purchased jets, build mansions, buy exotic cars, buy designers clothes, and set up private business empire of hotels, schools, housing estates, etc.
Dr. Leigh Church is not one that will remind you of offering, tithe, seed, partnership, first fruit, etc, because Leigh didn’t become pastor because of greed to become rich and famous.
Dr. Leigh was already a wealthy man before he became a pastor, maybe that was why he hardly worship money or look for ways to con members with their silver and gold with Malachi 3:10.
I cried when I read of Dr. Leigh death. I cried not because he was dead, I cried because Pastor Leigh was one of the reason I don’t rate the entire pastors in Nigeria as greedy, materialistic, corrupt, selfish, and fake.
Pastor Leigh was one of the very few people who made me not to completely lost my faith in God, because his messages convinced you with reasons and logic, and faith.
So sad Warri has lost the only genuine pastor whose church has never been used to organised fake miracle crusades, and fraudulent business seminars where fake con artists who masquerade as pastors are imported to Warri act drama of healing and extortion.
My Pastor, my Man of God, I shall greatly miss your knowledge filled messages, I shall greatly miss your New Eve fire work in Urhobo College, and I shall greatly miss your gospel of exultation, praise, and worship to only God.
Rest in God’s Glory , my Pastor.
