A naval officer (names withheld) had allegedly demanded that his Venza car which tyres were allegedly shot by the police during curfew hours along Stadium Road, Warri be replaced by the police.

It was gathered that trouble started when the plain clothed naval officer whose identity was not known was said to be driving along Stadium Road, Warri during the curfew hours recently and the tyres of his Japanese made Venza car were allegedly shot from behind by the police in the process, he rammed into other commercial tricycles (keke) riding in his front.

It was further gathered that he was then arrested to the police station. However, after confirmation of identity, the naval officer was said to have demanded that his car be replaced by the police.
