Voting has commenced in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Local Government Council Elections in the state
Voting has started at Unit 3, 025, Ward 4, NlMgbueto, Community, Emohua Local Government.
The voting commenced at 8:30 am when the electoral officers arrived.
The process at Press time is peaceful without police or any other security operatives in sight.
Speaking after casting his vote at unit 3, the Councillorship Candidate of the Action Peoples Party, APP, Omenihu Jackson, described the process as peaceful.
He said: “The election has been peaceful. People are conducting themselves well and the process is going on well. I have cast my vote.
The leader of the ward, Collins. Amesi, who spoke, expressed confidence in the process, adding that the election has been peaceful without police.
Amesi expressed confidence in the election, adding that without the presence of police, the election would not be credible.
He said: “You can see that the election is going on well without police. We commend RSIEC for conducting this peaceful process
