Run an all-inclusive governance, devoid of party affiliation – Mulade passes strong message to newly elected lawmakers

A traditional chief in Gbaramatu Kingdom of Warri South West local government area of Delta state, Comrade (Chief) Mulade Sheriff has congratulated all the members-elect of National and State Houses of Assembly, and governors-elect in the just concluded general elections.

Chief Mulade, who is the Ibe-sorimawei of ancient Gbaramatu kingdom was speaking with newsmen at Asaba, the state capital on Wednesday March 28, 2023 after the elected members received their certificates of return.

He said the elections left so much to be desired but many lessons to learn by politicians and the electorate before, during and after the elections

The renowned peace and development advocate said his congratulatory message is for all and sundry, as well as non-partisan, to all who have been elected and or re-elected.

Chief Mulade who is the National Coordinator of the Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ told the elected politicians to provide critical infrastructural, economic, education, environmental and human capital development projects for all in the state especially for those living in the deprived rural and riverine communities of the state.

Those congratulated by the people’s Comrade Mulade Sheriff include the Delta South Senator-elect, Hon Joel Onowakpo Thomas; the House of Representatives-elect, Warri Federal Constituency, Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi; Hon. Julius Pondi, Burutu Federal Constituency; Hon. Nicholas Mutu, Bomadi/Patani Constituency; Pastor Jonathan Ukodhiko, Isoko Federal Constituency and others including the State Assembly members-elect; particularly those from Delta South Hon Preyor Oboro, Bomadi; Hon Alapala Ebitonmo, Burutu North, Hon Pereotu Oloye, Burutu South, Hon. Emmanuel Sinebe, Patani; Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Warri South West, Hon. Fred Martins, Warri North; Hon. Augustine Uroye Warri South 1 and Hon Benson Obire, Warri South 2 as well as members-elect for Isoko Constituencies, Hon Bernard Odior, Isoko South, Hon Fergurson Owho Isoko North 1 and Hon Bino Owhede Isoko North 2 to work as a team irrespective of party affiliations to attract the desire development to Delta State.

Comrade (Chief) Mulade, urged all elected members, especially those from Delta South, to work as a team with the governor-elect and concentrate on people’s impactful projects that would bring real development to the people dwelling in the region especially on health, education, construction of housing units, bridges linking the hiinterlards and meaningful employment for the youths in the area.

Chief Mulade who was a former governorship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, had earlier on Monday March 20, 2023, congratulated the governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the polls and urged him as well as all elected members of the State Assembly to run an all-inclusive government irrespective of party, ethnic and religious affiliations towards a peaceful economic development of the state.
