Senate passes 2021 budget, to resume January 2021 (check the amount it passed)1

Senator Nwoko moves to restructure Nigeria’s welfare system as his bill to establish social security agency passes first reading

The Nigerian- Senate has approved the sum of N13.588 trillion as budget for 2021 fiscal year.

The approval followed the report of the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Jibrin Barau at Monday emergency session.

The upper legislative chamber thereafter adjourned plenary to January 26, 2021.
