Senator Ede Dafinone representing Delta Central in the National Assembly has extended warm birthday greetings to former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, on the occasion of his 67th birthday, describing him as a “remarkable leader and statesman” whose legacy continues to shape the political and developmental landscape of Delta State.
In a statement issued on Monday, Dafinone praised Ibori’s enduring contributions to the growth of the Urhobo nation and Delta State at large, highlighting his courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to public service.
“Your life has been a testament to resilience, courage, and an enduring commitment to the advancement of Delta State and the upliftment of the Urhobo nation,” Dafinone said.
“As a former Governor of Delta State, your administration laid critical foundations in infrastructure, human capital development, and the political awakening of our people.”
The Delta Central Senator also conveyed best wishes on behalf of himself and the people of his senatorial district, praying for continued health and strength for the celebrant.
“May the Almighty continue to grant you sound health, inner peace, and renewed strength,” he added.
Chief James Ibori, fondly referred to as the Odidigborigbo of the Universe by his admirers, served as Governor of Delta State from 1999 to 2007 and remains a towering figure in the political history of the state.
