Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Olorogun Peter Igho, on his recent conferment with the prestigious title Kakakin Daular Usmaniya of Sokoto by His Eminence, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto.
In a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday, September 15, 2025, Senator Dafinone described the honour as a fitting recognition of Olorogun Igho’s decades of dedication to national unity, cultural preservation, and leadership.
Joining other Urhobos, Deltans, and Nigerians in celebrating the President of the Urhobo Leadership Forum, the Senator hailed Igho as a statesman, bridge-builder, and cultural icon whose contributions continue to inspire.
“Olorogun Peter Igho is a cultural icon, a nation-builder, and a true bridge-builder,” Dafinone said. “His life’s work has touched countless lives, and this honour from the Sultan of Sokoto is not only symbolic but also richly merited.”
He further stressed the importance of recognizing leaders who champion unity, harmony, and the promotion of traditional values, noting that Olorogun Igho embodies these ideals through his leadership and influence across diverse spheres.
“On this well-deserved recognition, I heartily congratulate you, dear Olorogun. May you continue to enjoy greater wisdom, strength, and impact in your service to our people and our nation,” Senator Dafinone said.
