In 1999, he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State. During his tenure, he distinguished himself as a progressive lawmaker, advocating for policies that enhanced education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.

One of his notable achievements was his involvement in the sponsorship and promotion of bills aimed at improving Nigeria’s socio-economic framework. His tenure in the National Assembly remains a reference point for legislative excellence and dedication to public service.

In 2023, Senator Ned Nwoko was elected as a Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District. His return to active politics marked the continuation of his unwavering commitment to addressing the needs of his constituents and the larger Nigerian populace. He has since become a leading voice in the Senate, championing causes such as environmental sustainability, malaria eradication, and youth empowerment.

Philanthropy: A Lifelong Commitment to Humanity

Beyond politics, Senator Nwoko has established himself as a renowned philanthropist, using his resources and influence to improve the lives of countless individuals. Through the Ned Nwoko Foundation, he has spearheaded numerous initiatives in education, health, and rural development.

One of his most ambitious projects is the Malaria Eradication Project, a groundbreaking campaign aimed at eradicating malaria in Africa. Recognizing the devastating impact of malaria on the continent’s population and economy, Nwoko has partnered with global health organizations, governments, and research institutions to develop innovative solutions. His advocacy for clean environmental practices, including the use of renewable energy and proper waste management, further underscores his dedication to creating a healthier and more sustainable future.

A Champion of Tourism and Culture

Senator Nwoko is also a passionate advocate for the promotion of African culture and tourism. His tourism initiative includes the development of a world-class resort in his hometown of Idumuje-Ugboko, which combines luxury with cultural heritage. The resort not only boosts local tourism but also creates jobs and fosters economic growth in the region.

His love for culture extends to his support for traditional institutions and preservation of African heritage. He has worked tirelessly to ensure that the rich traditions of Delta State and Nigeria as a whole are celebrated and passed down to future generations.

A Family Man with a Global Vision

While Senator Nwoko’s professional and philanthropic achievements are remarkable, he is also a dedicated family man. Married to Regina Daniels, a Nollywood actress, and blessed with children, Nwoko finds joy in balancing his public responsibilities with his private life. His family serves as a source of inspiration and support in his endeavors.
