Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has empowered no fewer than 500 youths and women in a far-reaching development initiative aimed at promoting self-employment, wealth creation, healthcare access, and sustainable community growth across Delta North.

The empowerment programme, which commenced at the weekend in Asaba, attracted beneficiaries drawn from communities across the nine local government areas of the senatorial district. Participants were equipped with modern business and entrepreneurial skills designed to position them for gainful self-reliance and long-term economic productivity.

Each beneficiary, under the programme facilitated by Senator Nwoko, received a grant of One Hundred Thousand Naira (₦100,000) upon the completion of a rigorous three-day capacity-building training. The training was coordinated by the Centre for Management Development in collaboration with ABEAM Global Resources Limited.

Speaking at the empowerment ceremony, Senator Nwoko stated that the initiative was designed to unlock the immense potential of youths and women as drivers of job creation and catalysts for local economic expansion, stressing that sustainable development begins with deliberate investment in people.

Represented at the event by his Political Adviser, Chief Emmanuel Afam Eboh, the Senator expressed deep concern for the welfare and wellbeing of the people of Delta North, assuring that more empowerment programmes would be rolled out in the 2026 legislative year.

He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to human capital and community development through continuous engagement with the Federal Government under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the Delta State Government led by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
