The Anambra state government has issued a response to a letter reportedly written by ‘unknown gunmen’ threatening to attack 10 local government areas in the state.
It can be recalled that the state has been the epicentre of insecurity in the south-east region in recent times.
In a statement made available on Wednesday, signed by its chief press secretary, Chris Aburime, the government assured residents of their safety and protection.
“The attention of the government of Anambra state has been drawn to an anonymous threat letter being circulated in the state of a planned attack on ten (10) local government areas in the state.”
