Ogun State House of Assembly has ordered the arrest of Nollywood actor, Goriola Hassan after he purportedly marched himself as the Olu of Imobi in Ijebu East Local Government Area of the state.
As per the committee’s observations, Mr Hassan had changed government building over to private use and ignored requests to quit strutting himself as the Olu of Imobi.
Also, they saw that Mr Hassan’s exercises had been causing strain that could prompt serious crisis locally in case he isn’t halted.
Following this, the assembly invited the actor but he refused to honour three invitations.
Addressing this during the plenary on Thursday, the Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo directed security agencies to arrest and present Goriola Hassan to the assembly within 14 days of the passage of the assembly’s resolution on Thursday in Abeokuta.
The resolution was reached during the introduction of the report of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to the assembly presented by its Chairman, Bolanle Ajayi.
Mrs Ajayi later moved the motion for its adoption, which was approved by Ganiyu Oyedeji, and upheld by every one of the lawmakers through a voice vote managed by the Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo.
The committee added that the Onitasin of Itasin stays the only traditional ruler and recognised authority in Imobi land.
The board coordinated that the Community Dispensary House at Fotedo, which Mr Hassan prior changed over to private use be taken over by the local area.

The Committee’s report reads in part;
“It would be recalled that the assembly had earlier extended three separate invitations to Mr Goriola on August 10, August 17 and September 2. respectively.
“He failed to appear to respond to allegations leveled against him by members of the Imobi Descendants’ Union, Imobi Ijebu Development Association, the Baales of the 36 villages in Imobi at the instance of the lawmakers.” (NAN).”
