Delta State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon. Odinigwe Daniel Odigie has congratulated Deltans on the 32nd anniversary of the creation of the state.
The commissioner said Deltans should always give their absolute support to their leaders at all levels to enable them to work successfully and competently for the development of the state.
Odinigwe stated that the state owes it a duty to the younger generations to collectively develop lasting solutions to their challenges.
Hon. Odinigwe further called on Deltans to embrace oneness against any issue that could stand as an impediment to the progress of the state.
According to him: “God has blessed our state. We should come together to harness the natural gifts bestowed on us for the development of our state and the increased prosperity of our people.
“Yes, the different units or sections of the state can develop at their respective pace.
“The different development of the various units should be lessons for others. Though tribes and tongues may differ, in brotherhood we stand.
“If we come together, we will overcome all the challenges facing our state.”
Odinigwe appealed to Deltans to begin to have confidence in the administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, whose MORE agenda is well organized to promote more development for everyone in the state.
According to the Science and Technology commissioner, His Excellency, Sheriff Oborevori will deliver on its mandate, even as he equally urged Deltans to use the period for reflection and soul searching.
“It is an opportunity for all of us, both leaders and followers to do a soul searching on the role we have played individually and collectively to bring Delta to where it is today.
“We should all ask ourselves the pertinent question: Are we doing our bit to ensure that we fulfill the dreams of our forebears and meet our expectations as a state?”, he said.
