On Thursday night, a fatal accident occurred at popular Nza street, Independence Layout, Enugu.
According to reports, the accident which occurred around 7 pm occurred after a tanker failed to brake and crashed into the Keke loading spot.
It claimed 6 lives and injured some other people.
Eyewitnesses revealed that after the accident occurred, an angry mob set the tanker ablaze.
Nonetheless, the driver of the tanker ran away the moment the mishap occurred.
Meanwhile, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State alongside his deputy, Hon. Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo has visited the scene of the incident.
They also visited Posh Hospital, New Haven, Enugu, to sympathize with the survivors and guarantee that they get adequate medical attention.
He vowed to take care of all hospital expenses of the accident casualties.
The governor also mourned with families who lost their lives in the accident and expressed gratitude toward the individuals who rescued the survivors and carried them to the clinic for being Good Samaritans.
