Terrorists infiltrated the Zazzaga community in Niger State’s Munya local government area and set an 80-year-old man on fire. The octogenarian, whose name has not been revealed, was burned alive when terrorists razed houses in the neighbourhood after finding them deserted.
Residents of the community were said to have fled into the bush, leaving the elderly man alone in his home.
Before moving on to the communities of Sohon Kabula and Mangoro, the terrorists looted shops and houses. In the last 48 hours, they have raided 15 communities in three local government areas: Shiroro, Munya, and Paikoro.
The terrorists were said to be riding motorcycles and wielding high-tech weapons.
The gunmen attacked the Kusasu and Chukuba communities in the Shiroro local government area before moving on to Chibani, where they abducted over 30 people and shot a man named Umoru as he tried to flee.
