“That help you seek is coming” Ned Nwoko assures youths as he takes campaign train to Ika South LGA

Prince Ned Nwoko, the Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, in continuation of his ward to ward senatorial campaign, took his campaign train to Ika South Local Government Area of Delta state, on Monday, 14 November, 2022.

Nwoko, on the campaign ground, told the youths that their days of being neglected are over. He assured them that the help they seek is on the way.

The experienced Lawyer who was instrumental to the initiation of the London and Paris Club Loans refund into Nigeria, stated that he will pass a bill that will encourage youth empowerment, as soon as he gets to the senate, stressing that the youths are his main focus.

Nwoko, addressing the youths at one of the wards said, “The youths are going to be my first constituency. I will focus on youths because I know your plight. I know you have been neglected for long.

“The youths are equal stakeholders in Nigeria, but, over the years, nothing has been done specifically to help the youths. So, like I promised before, the first thing I will do when I get to the senate is to pass a bill to empower one million Nigerian youths every four years, by giving each qualified youth a grant of N50million.

“The money is not for squander because an agency would be established by government to monitor the progress of the beneficiaries.

“To qualify for this grant, you have to prove that you have an existing business which has been running for at least a period of two years. I am aware that most of you have businesses but no help to push it forward. I assure you that the help you seek is coming.

“Also, you must show that your business is registered, have a business account, and most importantly, you must be able to hire at least five more youths in your establishment.

“I have discussed this workable plan with the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, our own Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and they have both agreed to the plan, and promised to make the bill an executive bill once they get to the presidency.

“Here is the thing, for this plan to work, we must have Atiku and Okowa occupy the presidential seat. We must have Hon. Victor Nwokolo in the House of Representatives, we must have Hon. Festus Okoh (Chukky Dandy) in the House of Assembly. We have to work together. You must ensure that you give your 100 percent votes to PDP.

The Delta North senatorial candidate urged the youths to take the news into the streets of Ika land, and convince other youths who are still contemplating whom to cast their votes for, and youths who are already on the wrong side of the party.

“I presume everyone here is a member of PDP, you should, as a matter of importance, take whatever we discussed here into the streets of Ika and convince others who are still not sure whom to cast their votes for,” he said.

Addressing the women groups in Ward 1, Agbor-Obi, Nwoko implored the women to ensure victory for Okowa, stressing that it will be shameful for Okowa to lose any ward in Ika.

In his words, “Your Ika son, Governor Okowa, will be the vice president of Nigeria, if you give him your full support. And there is always a high chance of him becoming the president in the nearest future. It is your duty to go out and convince others to vote Okowa in this coming 2023 elections, because your own is your own.

“I have heard you sing ‘Ned is going to Abuja ‘, the truth is, I am not going to Abuja, I am already in Abuja. I live in Abuja, I know Abuja, I know Nigeria, and I know the world. Experience is very important for leadership, and I have gathered enough. Same thing with Okowa, as well as Atiku.

“The competence and experiences needed to push Nigeria to a better position are all in PDP. That’s why you must vote PDP all the way.”

Elder Moses Iduh, PDP chairman, Delta North, and other PDP chieftains, were among Ned Nwoko’s campaign train to Ika South LGA.

The Wards visited on the first day of Ika South campaign are; Ward 1 — Agbor-Obi, Ward 2 –Agbor-Obi, Ward 4– Alihagu, and Ward 3, which is made up of 3 communities; Ozanogogo, Alisimie, and Alienor.
