Delta state Police operatives, attached to Raiders squad, on Thursday, 27 October, nabbed two suspected fraudsters with the names Ofemu Obus, 23years, and Henry Ekpu, 28years for allegedly scamming shop owners with fake bank alerts.
According to a statement by the State’s Police public relations officer, DSP Bright Edafe, the suspects specialize in defrauding unsuspecting POS operators, they generate fake bank alerts and collect genuine cash from the POS operators.
“The suspects are already in Police custody and investigation is still ongoing,” the Police Officer said.
