The Department of State Service (DSS) on Wednesday without prior notice closed down entrance to the National Assembly in Abuja.

A video which went viral on the internet revealed a member of the National Assembly lamenting that the DSS officers were acting upon an order “from above”.

“The person that gave them that order should come and prove it to Nigerians. Order from above, which above? Are they above the government that put them there.

“This is impunity of the highest order. You close Nigeria house? If you want to fight the government, go and fight them. Is this democracy, one of the National Assembly members was heard saying in the trending video.

Another member of the National Assembly who arrived the premises early, while reacting  to this development, said;” “We have been refused to enter the National Assembly by DSS operatives you are seeing here. We are waiting for the rest of our colleagues to come and we’ll see how many of us they want to kill”.

He further stated that “We have told that this number of men is not enough, they should go and bring more and more men to stop us from entering into the symbol of Nigeria’s democracy.

The member added that they raised an alarm about this yesterday and true to what they suspected, the operatives are there to carry out the bidding of APC government.

The national assembly members who got to the premises early but were prevented from entering the complex stressed that the nation is gradually descending into a state of anarchy.

They wondered what kind of change the APC government is now offering Nigerians. “This is the change that Nigerians are getting, We are back to the military rule,” one of the members said bitterly.
