Urhobo youths led by activist Kelly Efemena Umukoro have commended the Nigeria Police force Delta state command and numerous police crack teams for swift response to distress calls over a kidnap victim in Warri area of Delta state.
In a statement released by the UPU Youthwing publicity Secretary Prince Ukuanovwe Godstime, the UPU youth wing president narrated the doggednes of the Nigeria police force in foiling the kidnap of One Mr. Oreva, who was kidnapped at the early hours of his wedding.
While narrating the incidence the youth president insisted that the security operatives must be applauded for their proactiveness and timely intervention.
He noted that his entourage was at the child’s dedication of the CDHR president Comrade Kehinde Taiga when the news broke out that the wedding they were billed to attend that the groom had been kidnapped.
The news put them in panic mood and they began making contacts to security operatives while they also shared themselves into search parties.
As God may have it, in less than few minutes all link roads had been blocked by the proactive police personnel ranging from anti kidnap to Delta hawk and several divisions within the Abraka axis.
The quick response of the police prompted the kidnappers to abandon the victim alongside the car and took on their heels.
This led to the police recovering the victim and the car and brought him back to safety where he joined others to complete his marriage rites.
As a people and concience of the society we’re aware that appreciation is an application for more good deeds and it is to that end we are appreciating all those who were instrumental to the release and return of Oreva on Sunday.
Most especially are the men of the Nigeria police force Delta state command.
We’re grateful. It is in our prayers that you continue in this stead of proactiveness and civility to the members of the public.
