A watch man, Danjuma Maganu, has received the beating of his life after a missing Techno Android phone belonging to the manager of a popular Naija Bet centre/guest house, Mr. Keppy Akpa, in Asaba, Delta state, was found vibrating in his room.
An eye witness told Emerald News that problem burst out when Mr. Akpan who kept his phone on his office table and went to attend to one of their customers came back and found his phone missing.
Emerald News gathered that the manager called the gate man, other sales boys and girls to know if they knew whereabouts of his phone which they declined knowing.
Our source said that the manager in a moment used his customer’s phone number to call his phone and they heard a phone vibrating and ringing in the gate man’s house.
The manager on hearing his phone’s ringing tone ran into the gate man’s house and saw a light flashing through one of the Maganu’ s shirt.
When the people at the scene angrily pounced on Maganu, he started begging them, saying that it was a play he was trying to play with his manager.
But before then, he had already received serious beating from the angry eye witnesses.
Emerald News learnt that the gate man was taken to a nearby police station.
Our source said that the statement the gate man made at the police station got the manager into trouble as he was arrested after Maganu reported to police that the manager sells exhibits in the guest house.
