Chairman of the Cubana Group and leading Nigerian entrepreneur, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, widely known as Obi Cubana, has lauded Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for what he described as people-focused, God-fearing and development-driven leadership, saying Delta State is firmly on the right path under his administration.
Obi Cubana made the remarks during a courtesy visit to Government House, Asaba, where he was accompanied by the Founder of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze. The cleric was in the state to dedicate the Cubana Millennium City project to God, underscoring the blend of faith, investment, and governance driving the project.
The visit further highlighted the strengthening partnership between private sector investors and the Delta State Government in promoting large-scale urban development and economic growth.
In a message posted on his verified Facebook page after the visit, Iyiegbu openly commended Governor Oborevwori’s leadership approach, describing it as anchored on integrity, inclusiveness and sustainable development.
“When the righteous is on the throne, the state rejoices. Delta State is truly blessed with a God-fearing and development-oriented Governor. Delta State is in very good hands,” he wrote.
He also praised the Governor for his accessibility and support for investors, stating: “Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State, thank you for your constant openness. We are bringing magic to Delta State.”
Turning to the Cubana Millennium City Asaba project, Obi Cubana described the estate as a transformational development, calling it “the Jewel on the Niger.”
He reaffirmed the Cubana Group’s commitment to its delivery timeline, assuring homebuyers and investors that the first phase of the project will be completed and ready for occupation by December 2026.
Designed as a premium mixed-urban development, Cubana Millennium City is expected to significantly elevate Asaba’s profile as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing residential and investment destinations.
The project aligns with the Oborevwori administration’s MORE Agenda, which prioritizes accelerated development, economic expansion and an improved quality of life for the people of Delta State.
