Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state made this statement when he attended Pastor WF Kumuyi’s crusade in Ibadan

Praise the Lord!
I will quickly recognize the people who came with me: And the first person to be recognized is Her Excellency, the wife of the governor, Mrs. Tamunomini Olufunke Makinde.

I also have here with me the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Banwo Adeosun,

The Chief of Staff, Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi,

Some of the Honourable Commisioners in the Government of Oyo State are here, as well as few political functionaries which I will recognize together because I also want to listen to the message.

But I understand that the President of Christian Association of Nigeria is here, Reverend Supo Ayokunle,

Also the Oyo State Chairman of CAN, Apostle Akinyemiju, you are duly recognized.

Let me specially recognize our father in the Lord, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor Dr. W F Kumuyi,

And our Mama in the Lord also, Mama Kumuyi.

I understand that the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Total Freedom Through Faith in Christ crusade, Apostle Kayode Kolawole, you are recognized sir.

I wish to specially recognize the presence of the following men of God, our fathers of faith in the State:
1. Bishop T B Adelakun
2. Pastor Adedeji Olusoji
3. Apostle Iyiola
4. Our Lady of Songs in the Ministry, Lady Evangelist Bola Are

Let me use them as points of contact for other anointed ministers of God who are present here.

My Lord Spiritual and temporal, and my people in the Body of Christ. I left Abuja about 3 hours ago, I was supposed to be here on Sunday but my schedule was so tight I could not make it. Realising that today is the last day of the Crusade, I made up my mind to be here by all means, even if I have to crawl.

At some point, when I was told that the harmattan haze was there, and the weather was not too clear, I prayed that nothing will hinder me from being here and it cleared, and we were able to make it here.

This is Total Freedom Through Faith in Christ Crusade and we are happy that it is live in Ibadan. Thank God for those praying for us, you see all that is happening in Oyo State, it is because we have people who are praykng for us, and this Administration.

And when we go out there and say we don’t have any Godfather, only God the Father, some people get angry, and tonight, if they see all that is going on here, they will know that they have to leave their Godfather, and come to our God the Father.

Apart from the quality we have seen in terms of worship, I heard the Ibadan Choir and I felt like joining them, I had wanted to join the choir in the past, but my voice was not that great. Next time you want to audition, please, remember me. I will come.

If you look at the entire setting here, take it to anywhere in the world, it is the standard. So, it is a big lesson to us politicians who always want to reserve the best for ourselves and members of our family, but with what we’ve seen here in terms of setup, only the best is good for the people of Oyo State and Nigeria.

I will only thank the organizers and our father in the Lord for bringing this Crusade to Ibadan. When Ibadan Choir was singing, they said anything contending with God in our lives must die. I don’t know about majority of you, but I know that my own miracle, I am taking it home tonight.

So, I just want to enjoy myself tonight, soak myself in the message and the worship. I know you think Governors don’t need miracles as well. Well, we do, because there are several forces contending with the seat.

So, whenever you are praying, remember us also, because we need those prayers and we have been sustained up until this moment because of your prayers.

I am here all night till the end of the programme and I pray that none of us will go empty handed tonight.

Thank you and God bless you.
