It is no longer news that a 21 year old girl named Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu is currently cooling her feet in police custody for alleged murder of Micheal Atago Usifo, Chief Executive Officer of Super TV and a director in Super Network Ltd.
This writer is writing from her own perspective as a young lady. Firstly, everyone must be wondering if the death of the CEO was predetermined or a mishap.
I stand on the edges of both. The death could have been predetermined due to the fact that immediately after his death, Chidimma collected his phone and also withdrew large sum of money from his account. She was not afraid that she had killed a big man. I mean if he were a “sugar daddy” like Nigerians are calling him, I do not think she would have ever had the nerves to do such.
Someone who gives you money regularly, no one will conceive the act of obliterating his/her “bank”.
Come to think of it, he must have been giving her everything she demanded unless he was a frugal person, yes! If he was so generous, even if someone had sent her to terminate his life, she would have hinted him on it with cautions.
On the other hand, from her speech, she disclosed that the man forcefully had sex with her that very morning and wanted another round. When she refused, he locked the door, why? So, he actually wanted to rape her. Sex ought to be willing and not forced. So, there is a rape case.
She was angry and high on drugs. I feel she felt irritated at the man for what he did and then the drugs had its effect on her and made her murder him. She withdrew such large some of money as her compensation price for her first round of service.
What we must not forget is that the two were on drugs. So we do not exactly know what led to what but we can only hope on the court for their decision on this issue.
On another note, this whole occurrence should be traced to our economy and discipline. If Nigeria were a country with opportunities and not a failed country, the girl would not have dated someone who’s old enough to be her father.
Secondly, if the man had discipline and integrity, he would not have cheated on his beautiful lawfully wedded wife. So at some point the girl was wrong but the man was also wrong.
