Rivers state governor, Nyeson Wike has declared his total support for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s reelection as Lagos state governor under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Wike, who has been at logged head with his party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) over leadership structure and choice of presidential candidate said that Sanwo-Olu of All Progressives Congress (APC) is the right man for Lagos state governor judging from his previous performance.
According to The Nation, governor Wike made his declaration during the 22nd annual Women’s Conference in Victoria Island with the theme “Spring Forth, Stand Out”, organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO), which continues till Thursday.
Governor Wike said that the participation of women in politics and decision making is helping Lagos state to set the pace. He commended the women and made a donation of N300 million to the Committee.
He cheered governor Sanwo-Olu for granting women the opportunity to serve in different measures in the state, especially in the judiciary.
“By the grace of God, you will be a second term Governor. Lagos state is doing better than other states in this country because Lagos has allowed women to participate in governance in various capacities “, governor Wike said.
