With just two days away from the 2023 presidential and senatorial elections, the youths of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo worldwide, have openly declared their support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
This declaration came days after the women wing of the Igbo socio-cultural organization, led by their national president, Chief Mrs. Rita Daniels, endorsed the political party and pledged to support her candidates at all levels.
The youths officially announced their endorsement on Wednesday, 23 February, 2023, during a townhall meeting with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the PDP vice presidential candidate, Prince Ned Nwoko, the Delta North PDP senatorial candidate, and other PDP candidates, at Orchid Hotel multipurpose hall, Asaba.
Addressing the youths, Nwoko maintained that, PDP will win the presidential election and assured that South-East would be given its pride of place when that happens.
“The reason for the many agitation groups in Nigeria is because of injustice and poor representation at the federal level.
“What we all seek for is, inclusive and progressive society. A society where everyone would be carried along.
“A government that will insure national security, and make it a priority. A government that will help harness the vast opportunities in Nigeria and improve the nation’s economy.
“A government that will help us build Nigeria of our dreams.
“PDP is the only political party that has what it takes to manage Nigeria. PDP is the only political party with the structure to achieve the aforementioned.
“The presidential election is just two days away. This is the only opportunity you have to make things work again.” Nwoko said.
“With PDP at the federal level, South-East would be given its pride of place.” He aided.
Nwoko further appreciated the youths for their bold decision and promised to partner with them in future projects.
