The palliative plan was released by the state governor, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori during the inauguration of the 26 member state executive council at the event centre in Asaba on Tuesday.
Emerald News itemized six points from the pronouncement of the governor.
- N10,000 to be paid in addition to the salary of 51,196 workers for three months beginning from August. This includes staff of the 10 higher institutions
- Workers of salary grade level 1 to 14 would work on shift basis. One set world work from Monday to Wednesday. The other set would work from Thursday and Friday. This will be implemented on rotational basis. Other senior staff will be worked out by the ministries
- Staff on essential duties will continue to be at work
- He constituted committee to work out modalities for palliatives for widows, people living with disabilities, poor and vulnerable households and the aged people in the state.
- He put up plans of acquiring electric vehicles for public transportation
- He set up committee that will work out action to convert tricycle assembly plant to gas powered keke to reduce fuel consumption
