A woman Mrs. Jeraldine Anthony from Abia state has regretted ever marrying her husband as a third wife.
An eye witness told Emerald News that Mrs. Anthony narrated how her co wives connived with their children to rob her of their husband’s property meant for her and her children.
Emerald News gathered that the woman who married a Yoruba man as the third wife said that she was enjoying her husband since she got married to him five years ago until in December, 2020 she lost him to death.
According to our source, her rich husband with whom she got two children had told her two years ago the things he willed for her and her children when he died, but she said she got the shock of her life when the family lawyer read the will, no property was alloted to her and her children.
Emerald News gathered that when she asked why, the other two wives and their children said she ran into their house because of their father’s wealth.
According to our source, the woman was speechless when her co wives confidently told her that she was just a concubine of their late husband.
An eye witness said that the woman was bittered not only that no property was shared to her but because the other two wives who were from Western part of the country were mocking her and her children, calling her husband’s snatcher.
Mrs. Anthony who proved to our source that her late husband paid her bride price, however, advised other women not to try to marry a man as a third wife especially when the man has advanced in age.
According to our source, the grown up children of the late man are still threatening to evacuate the woman from the three bedroom apartment she stays in Lagos with her children, claiming that she is a stranger.
