The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that Monwuba Chibuikem is the best candidate at the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Chibuikem in Lagos state scored 358 out of the total 400 marks.
JAMB revealed this in a document made public during its policy meeting chaired by the Minister of Education, Adama Adamu.
Qomarudeen Alabi from Osun and Adeogun Oreoluwa from Ogun are joint second with 350.
Ajayi Isaiah from Lagos came next with a score of 349, while Okarike Kenneth from Rivers took fifth spot with 348.
The trio of Omonona Victor (Oyo), Owoeye Oluwatimilehin (Ekiti), and Ehizogie Aidelogie (Edo) took the sixth position with 347.
Ajeigbe Samuel (Ekiti) and Yakubu Joshua (Edo) had 346 and 343 respectively to complete the top 10.
In total, there were nine male candidates and one female in the top 10.
All of them applied for Engineering and Science courses.
