All is set for the 2022 Annual Convention of Immaculate Conception College Old Boys Association (ICCOBA) to be held in Asaba, Delta State between November 18 and 20.
No fewer than 300 delegates across the globe are expected to converge on capital city of the oil rich state to explore it’s tourism potentials through visits to historic sites.
Tagged “Splendour of the Niger”, the three-day convention will also feature invitational golf tournament, presidential cocktail and dinner/award nite.
Highpoints of the convention would be an AGM and a special lecture on the theme to be delivered by renowned Education Administrator, Social Researcher and Author, Chief Christopher Ozili Biose.
President of ICCOBA world wide, Engr. Ighodalo Edetanlen would lead the delegates for the action packed convention, according to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) with Chuks Nwose as chairman.
The organisers added that the events would be capped with a special thanksgiving mass.
Speaking on the preparedness to host the annual event, president of Asaba branch, ICCOBA, ESV Ken Eboigbe, said the branch would deliver a convention that would beat the imagination of members of the association world wide.
Eboigbe said it was an opportunity for members to explore the uniqueness of Asaba, west of the majestic River Niger, and it’s allure of nature.
He said the convention would be a memorable event like no other in the history of the association.
Eboigbe encouraged members of Asaba branch to seize the opportunity to re-unite with ‘old school mates’, adding however that the importance of the annual event must not be lost.
Immaculate Conception College (ICC) is located in Benin City, Edo State. Formerly known as Kelly College, the school was founded by the Catholic Mission.
