President of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR), Comrade Dr. Kehinde Taiga is celebrating his birthday today, March 12, 2022. As he celebrates, he is wishing Nigerians the best of life.
Speaking with Emerald News on phone on Friday night, he called on Nigerians to keep hope alive, believing that the future will be bright.
However, Taiga called on President Muhammedu Buhari to wake up and fulfill his promises to Nigerians within the one year he has left in his eight year administration.
Taiga said Nigerians are passing through challenging times occasioned by the increase in the price of fuel and the general cost of living in Nigeria.
He said with the resources in the country, Nigeria is supposed to be a leading country in terms of welfare package for citizens but unfortunately the reverse is the case.
Rather than being a great country with great opportunities for its citizens, Taiga said Nigeria has remained underdeveloped country because of the bad, careless and clueless leaders manning the affairs of the nation.
In the coming 2023 general elections, Taiga called on all Nigerians to vote for men of goodwill, character and integrity, who will pull the country from the present messy state.
He called on Nigerian electorate to reject N1000, N2000 and the bag of rice and salt which politicians use to buy votes during electioneering campaigns.
He said the ruling All Progressive Congress APC has disappointed Nigerians and should be voted out of power in 2023.
He noted that 2023 is a special year to Nigerians and everyone should get their PVCs and vote out clueless, selfish and greedy politicians.
He said Nigerian leaders are not representing the interest of the electorate but their personal interest and the interest of their families.
